The conference was organized by ANAMA, the Mine Action Agency of Azerbaijan, and was attended by representatives of international, governmental and non-governmental organizations, commercial companies and equipment manufacturers.

At seven panels during the conference, experiences were shared and topics were presented from different areas of mine action, where participants from all regions of the world, who are faced with contamination by mines and explosive devices left over from the war, explained the ways in which they deal with this problem.

During the conference, participants visited the field base in the city of Agdam in the liberated territories of Karabakh, where they were introduced to the organization, resources, procedures and methods used in humanitarian demining operations and the removal of explosive devices in this area.
