07 June in Geneva, a meeting was held on the theme “The universality of Land Release” on which they exchanged information on key principles of land release methods and shared experiences from practical examples of land release and their positive implications for the development of the mine action program. As a representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina The meeting was attended by Acting Director of the BHMAC Sasa Obradovic.

This event will provide a platform for exchange of good practices of all those involved in this process and to demonstrate the importance and influence of international standards for mine action (IMAS) on the land to the public within the framework of its national program for demining and effort for the implementation of obligations under the APMBC.

The meeting was organized by representatives of Austria, Chairman of the APMBC and Germany, Chairman of the Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM) with support units to assist the implementation of the Convention (ISU) and the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
