On December 16, 2010 Mine Action Center in BiH was visited by Đurđa Adlešič, representative of Croatian Assembly, Zdravko Modrusan, director of Croatian Mine Action Center, and Dorijan Maršič, director of International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance from Slovenia. Exceptional cooperation in the past period and expectations for its continuation in the future were emphasized at the today's meeting.
Mine problem in Bosnia and Herzegovina was presented to distinguished guests, as well as previous mutual mine action projects of two countries.
The border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia is mostly mined and the common aim is to find donor in order to make this border safe on the both sides.
International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victim Assistance from Slovenia is still one of the main mechanisms for mine action funding in BiH and Croatia. Through its channels were provided funds for the needs of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the amount of 152 millions of USD, which enabled implementation of many demining projects, mine victims rehabilitation, mine risk education, capacity building, etc.
