On 28th September 2009, Italian civil war victims society and Associazione Nazionale Vittime Civili di Guerra in cooperation with European Union of War Invalids and Fondazione Opera Campana dei Caduti from Rovereto,Italy, organized conference titled Europe and civil war victims, meant for civil war victims from past and recent war conflicts.



Conference gathered representatives from local, European and southeastern authorities. Purpose was to influence on European Union in victim assistance problem and to call all different european and southeuropen societies to mutually benefit within European Union of War Invalids, as well as to launch idea of establishing European Day to pay toll to all civil war victims.

Mr Ahdin Orahovac, BHMAC Deputy Director briefly emphasized mine problem size in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with focus in decrease of available mine action funding, along with the fact that mine accidents are still happening.
