COMMUNITY INTEGRATED MINE ACTION PLANNING
Community integrated mine action plans are aimed to establish better cooperation between field activities and mine action strategic planning in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Main idea is to improve mine action planning at micro level and to develop basics for interactive combination of different mine action components (clearance, technical survey, permanent marking, mine risk education, mine victim assistance) at community level. Plans created in this way include involvement of local community in decision making. However this can not totally eliminate mine risk, but it can reduce it at acceptable level, considering limited resources and timeframe. Activities implemented within CIMAP, will enable better and more precise mine action planning in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

There were no CIMAP projects implemented in 2009.
