Mine Victim Assistance
From 1996 till so far, 1665 people were killed or injured by mines and unexploded ordnance in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Monthly average of casualties is constantly falling.

Lately, mainly adults become victims, while number of children is significantly reduced.
Majority of areas where accidents have happened were properly marked. Main reasons of entering into suspect areas were egzistential reasons such as: firewood cutting, herding, hunting and collecting of metal and herbs.

Mine Victim Assistance refers to overall process of providing medical, social and economical assistance with final aim to fully reintegrate mine victims in socio economic circles.
