The Agreement on new contribution of Norway for demining of remaining minefields in Bosnia and Herzegovina was signed in Ljubljana (Slo).This is a twelveth donation of Norway for mine action in amount of 3.715.500 euros. Majority of allocated donation will be spent for projects in BiH, while rest of it will be allocated for Croatia.

On 19th May 2007, in place Dubrave near Visoko, during bombshell explosion, two persons were killed and three were injured. Accident happened on scrap metal depot, when machine for iron processing cut the bombshell and activated it.
Victims were collecting scrap metal debris and selling it. They assumed that activated device had no explosive and fuse.

On 15th May 2008 at location Duboki potok, in munipality Gornji Skipovac, Doboj, one person was injured when PROM 1 mine was activated. Accident happened during firewood cutting.

On 6th April 2008 in municipality Berkovic, at location "Base station of cell phones - Rotimlje 2" near Stolac, demining accident happened, causing serious injures of left foot and right fist of deminer. Accident was acused by PMA-1 mine.

At Gajevi location, Ustikolina, municipality Gorazde mine accident happened causing one injured and three death persons. Accident happened when local resident informed police and Civil Protection on found AP mine, type PMR and called its members to mark it. During marking another AP mine, type PROM was activated. The explosion was fatal for two members of Ustipraca police and one member of Civil Protection Ustipraca.

On 17th and 18th March 2008 near Doboj and Gracanica, two demining accidents happened, causing four casualties. Three deminers were killed and one was injured. Accidents were caused by the activation of PROM-1 and PROM-1P.

At Boderista location, Brezici, municipality Brcko mine accident happened causing injuries of two persons. Accident happened during firewood cutting at nearby forest deep inside mine risk area.

On Thursday, 28th February 2008, the OSCE Delegation, led by Ulrich Heider, Director of the Department of Security Co-operation visited the BiH Mine Action Centre in Sarajevo.

The purpose of this visit was the discussion on current mine situation in the country, as well as the inquiry on how and in which way the OSCE can assists, as an institution which is very interested for this issue.

Members of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Armed Forces, destroyed yesterday on military training ground in Glamoc UXO collected in operation ‘Harvest’ (Zetva). There were 857 pieces of UXO including bombshells, mines, grenades, 38 kg of TNT explosive and 30.000 pieces of small ammunition (4.500 caps and 60 m of fuse).

On 21th November 2007, in village Vitinica by Sapne, municipality Tuzla, during extraction of the firewood AT mine, type TMRP-6 was activated by tractor. One person is seriously injured and two persons get slight injuries.
