            <title>Demining accident near Gracanica</title>

            <description>Today, during the technical survey operations in the area of Gracanica, mine PROM 1 was activated and one deminer was severely injured. After admission to the hospital in Tuzla, he died due to obtained injuries.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Demining project where accident had happened, is covering area of 80.154 m2 and is located on the site called Sockovac road in Gracanica.</description>

            <description>On June 11, 2010 an official ceremony was held at Butmir Camp in Sarajevo where 37 instructors for mine risk education, employed within EUFOR LOT teams, were awarded with diplomas. There was five-day training in cooperation with BHMAC and Stop Mines NGO and new instructors are now fully trained to forward their knowledge about protection of mines and UXOs to schools and other social organizations.</description>

            <title>Demining Process is Essential for Economic Development in BiH</title>

            <description>Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Nikola Spiric said today in Sarajevo that the process of demining is essential for economic development in BiH as any social process cannot develop if  BiH is contaminated by mines to the extent that it is today.&lt;br /&gt;

At the opening of the conference “Development of mines affected communities and challenges of civil society 2009-2019&amp;#8243;, organized by NGO sector in BiH in cooperation with Mine Action Centre of BiH, Spiric pointed out that even now, 15 years after unfortunate war conflict, the analyses show that 3,04 percent of the territory of BiH or 1.555,34 square kilometers are still contaminated with mines. In the area that includes 18,600 of registered minefields, according to estimates, there are more than 670,000 mines and UXOs.</description>

            <title>Successful continuation of demining in Tuzla Canton</title>

            <description>Organized by the Cantonal Administration of Civil Protection in the Government of Tuzla Canton, it was officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the municipalities of Banovici, Gracanica, Kalesija, Kladanj, Lukavac, Sapna i Tuzla and the International Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance – ITF. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Project began in late 2008 and last year it resulted with the best accomplishments in demining in Tuzla Canton in period after the war. The project implies joint financing of demining process in a way that ITF doubles all funds collected by Canton and local communities.</description>

            <description>On  September 19, 2009, during removal of tile and wooden construction from the roof of the Culture center in Bužim,  cluster munition ‘bluebells’ was activated, causing injuries to three people. &lt;br /&gt;

Injured persons were removing tile and wood from the roof of the building, which was intended for demolition. Injured persons wanted to use the material to cover their family house.</description>

Projectile with weight ofs 23 kg, length 81,4 cm and 7,5 kg of explosive charge of trotil and hexagon composite is explosive remnant of war.</description>
