The agreement on the donation of these funds was signed by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in BiH and the non-governmental organization “Norwegian People's Aid”.

The donated money will be spent on the demining process at several sites in BiH.

In the area of Sanski Most, in the wider area of the village of Šehovci, a little more than two months ago, demining of land continued, as well as the removal of other unexploded ordnance left over from the previous war. Demining activities due to the pandemic were not implemented last year, and it is planned to clear about 2.5 square kilometers of minefields in this year.

The last phase of demining, will cover the area from the village of Šehovci towards Suhodol, and the wider area of the village of Škrljevita.

In the past period, about 5.5 km2 of land were cleared in this area, where over 100 of AP mines and UXOs were found. At the same time, this is an area for which it is confirmed that there are numerous minefields, since it is a former line of confrontation.

Sanski Most belongs to the category of municipalities with a high risk areas with the largest number of remaining minefields.
