BHMAC RO Brčko, in cooperation with the Public Security Department of the Brčko District Government, organized a presentation at the Brčko City Hall about the upcoming demining operations in the Brčko District, and about a new approach of Land Release.

The presentation was attended by the Mayor of the Brcko District of BiH Esed Kadrić, his Deputy Anto Domić, the President of the Assembly of the Brčko District of BiH Siniša Milić, the Head of the Public Security Department Bogdan Bratić and the Chief of the Brčko District Police of BiH Goran Pisić.

It was pointed out that most of the areas which are still mine contaminated are related to agriculture and the exploitation of natural resources.

The realization of the first of six planned MSA projects, located in Brcko East, is expected this year.

There are still about 13 km2 of mine suspected area left on the territory of the Brčko District of BiH, and they are: Boderište, Brčko North, Ulice-Rahić-Bukovac, Brčko East, Vukšić-Skakava and Brčko West.
