In the area of Brvnik, the municipality of Samac, demining operations are currently being carried out at three locations at about 200,000 m2. These are highly endangered communities, and that is agricultural land, which is not currently being used because of the risk of mine threat.
So far, 36 people have been killed by landmines and explosive devices left behind the war in the Šamac area, 19 of them dead and 17 injured.
Another 850,000 m2 of land still remains suspected in Samac area.
