In Geneva, in the period 22-24. May 2019, the regular Intersessional meetings of the Parties to the Convention on the Prohibition of AP Mines will be held in order to discuss the challenges and progress achieved since the last Seventeenth Meeting held in November 2018, as well as on the preparations for the next Review Conference scheduled for November this year.
This year marks 20 years since the entry into force of the Convention, so these meetings are aimed to provide the Member States and other interested parties the opportunity to present new information on progress in the implementation of the Convention, as well as on the remaining challenges in the field of mine explosive removals.
The meeting is attended by BHMAC Acting Director Saša Obradović and Lucija Ljubić, Counsellor, BiH Permanent Mission, Geneva.
