BHMAC representatives attended 13th Symposium on humanitarian demining in Croatia
The 13th Symposium on humanitarian demining will be in the period from May 26 until May 29 2016, in Biograd na moru, Republic of Croatia. This Symposium is aimed to gather the eminent experts from this field, to present humanitarian demining results and improvements of field operation techniques. This year Symposium will be held under the sponsorship of the Presidency of the Republic of Croatia.
The Symposium will consist of plenary sessions, demonstrations on field and visiting demining site, along with workshops and meetings of IARP and SEEMACC.
Symposium will include themes related to problems of contamination with explosive remnants of war, focusing on world expertise, new technologies in mine actions, education about danger of mines and mine victim assistance, risks and safety in demining operations, as well as cooperation and lessons learned among the mine action centers.
BHMAC was represented by Zoran Grujić Head of Department of Information Technology and Goran Ždrale from the Department for Mine Action.
